Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of responses of police officers to DUI instances in Charleston resulted in an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year Award for all South Carolina media. O'Dell then worked for the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role of weekend co-anchor. She also works as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
